Shawn & Stephanie Welsh Started Welsh Automotive in 2015. Shawn knew at an early age he always wanted to own his own business, some say his passion for cars and trucks started when his parents got him his first set of Power Wheels as a child! Shawn knew after high school that he wanted to open an automotive repair shop, he knew he needed to build the proper foundation so he went to the Automotive Training Center where he graduated with an associates degree in automotive technology.
From there his goal was to get as much experience with as many different vehicle manufacturers as possible. So from 2007, Shawn worked as a technician in many different dealerships and private owned shops to gain experience and on-site training. Shawn's Prior Work Experience:
Stephanie graduated from LaSalle University with a bachelors in education, where she worked in the public schools of Philadelphia for over 6 years. From there she joined Shawn helping to grow Welsh Automotive.

Welsh Automotive was established in August of 2015 in Exton. Since then, Welsh Automotive has strived to create a relationship with our customers to understand how they use their vehicles. This allows us to create a superb plan for servicing and repairing your vehicle that benefits you the most. That combined with high quality customer services has grown our business enough to make our dream of opening a second location a reality.
In January of 2020 Welsh Automotive expanded and opened a second location in West Chester, PA formerly known as Wiley’s Car Care. Wiley’s Car Care had been in business for over 100 years. Steve and Dawn Wiley approached Shawn and Stephanie to take over their legacy of excellence in the automotive repair industry. They shared the same beliefs that customer care is paramount.

This is a great auto shop of Exton! If you schedule an appointment ahead of time they can sometimes give a loaner car for the day which is a huge help. The manager is very kind and accommodating as well.
Got inspection done here with a 1 day notice, the only place who had availability last week of December (even their WC location had none). Super nice, friendly staff , dropped the car off the night before got it all done 9am next morning. They even attached a scratch-off lottery ticket to the receipt. Will bring my other vehicles here for the inspection! Update: brought another car here, again superb service, even threw in a free light bulb fix. 🙂
